Nestled in the charming town of Goodrich, Texas, our retreat is your passport to serenity and creativity. Perched on the shores of Holiday Lake, this private oasis is where the beauty of nature meets the art of scrapbooking/quilting/crafting—a match made in heaven.

 

Imagine this: The sun rising over the lake, the gentle whisper of the breeze, and you, surrounded by friends (or just your thoughts), crafting memories in the most inspiring setting imaginable. Whether you’re a scrapbooker, crafter, or quilter diving into your next project; a group of friends escaping everyday life; or a couple or family seeking a quiet getaway—this is your space to relax, recharge, and create. Kayaks are available for exploring the serene lake or soaking in the beauty of nature.

 

The details that make us special:

  • Accommodations for a maximum of 13 guests.  However, if renting the space for crafting, you can have only a maximum of 7 guests (no minimum) to insure space for tables and proper sleeping arrangements.

Welcome to Lakeside Cottage Retreat – Your Perfect Creative Getaway!

Our retreat features two beautifully appointed bedrooms:

  • Starlight Suite: Sleeps up to 5 guests and includes a full bathroom for your convenience.
  • Cozy Cove: Sleeps 3 guests, offering a cozy space with a half bath and a shower located just next to the bedroom.
  • The living room area is large and can hold a queen mattress on the floor, a queen air mattress and a twin air mattress.  These options are available to you and are located in the closet of Starlight Suite.

Relax and unwind with all the comforts of home—we provide fresh linens, towels, washcloths and hair dryers for our guests.

While meals are the responsibility of our guests, we’ve made it easy for you to prepare something special in our fully-equipped kitchen. Whether you’re cooking up a casual meal or preparing a feast with friends, you'll have access to:

  • Stove/oven
  • Microwave
  • Refrigerator
  • Dishwasher
  • Large farmhouse sink
  • Cookware, utensils, and more

Start your mornings at our coffee bar, featuring a regular coffee maker and a Keurig with a variety of K-cups (feel free to bring your favorites!). Plus, stay refreshed throughout your stay with our hot & cold water dispenser. After a day of crafting, take time to relax in the sitting area where you can enjoy WiFi and internet TV. If you’re more adventurous take the kayaks out on the lake to explore the beautiful lake.

For all your crafting needs, our scrapbook/quilt/craft room is ready to inspire. With seven 6-foot tables and all the essentials, you’ll have plenty of space to create and collaborate. Each table is equipped with:

  • Personal lighting
  • Convenient power plugs and charging stations
  • Comfy rolling office chairs
  • Trash can

To share we have:

  • Quilt walls
  • Irons
  • Ironing boards/ironing mat
  • Cricut machine with a few cartridges

Thank you so much for having us in your beautiful cottage by the lake! It was so relaxing being able to quilt with plenty of space for my items. Being able to sit outside and look at the lake. Most of all to spend time with friends.

What a great house to enjoy friends and making memories together...lots of laugh and girl talk...sitting on the patio and swing just taking in the beautiful views! The loaded grilled cheese and french fries at Holiday Lake Grocery were amazing!

This place was amazing.  A beautiful lake view right from the back porch. We spent a lot of time out there relaxing and taking in the peaceful scenery. The house is just steps away from the lake. We had a great weekend of scrapbooking and watching chic flics. The internet worked well and the showers had great pressure and there were plenty of beds.

We stayed here for a baseball tournament and the stay was great. We did a little fishing off of the dock. We caught some bass and at night small gars come right up to the dock with the turtles. This place was very peaceful and great to come back to after a long day of baseball in the heat. Leslie answered all of our questions very promptly and has the house set up perfectly with everything you may need. The house was very clean and the air conditioning works great! I would definitely recommend staying here if you need some peace and quiet. Over all the stay was perfect. Leslie all of the thoughtful touches throughout the house were perfect.
